Ames, an Ames True Temper® brand, and a leading manufacturer of non-powered lawn and garden products, today announces the launch of the Total Control Garden Cart. The new cart features a unique grip design making it easier for users to maneuver and dump materials. Whether users are transporting light loads of mulch and soil or carrying hand tools and plants out to the garden bed, the new Total Control Garden Cart allows users to tackle a given task quickly and comfortably.
“Consumers told us they needed a garden cart that is built to last, is easier to use than a wheelbarrow and can handle rough terrain,” said Dan Marshall, director, marketing and product development, Ames True Temper. “Keeping that feedback in mind, we equipped the new Total Control Garden Cart with advancements that reinforce its strength and durability, then gave it an improved handle shape similar to that of the True Temper Total Control Wheelbarrow which makes handling simple.”
The new Total Control Garden Cart delivers leading performance in a compact, stylish package. The unique extended and looped handles, or Total Control grip design, improve user experience, making it easier to maneuver the cart and dump its contents. The five cubic-foot, corrosion-proof poly tray is made of HDPE material for all-weather performance and long-lasting life, making the new garden cart a tool users can rely on season after season.
In addition to the new handle design, the new garden cart features a number of improvements that create a more enjoyable and comfortable experience for the user. For added strength, Ames designed the new cart to feature integrated reinforcing ribs in critical areas under the tray, allowing the cart to handle heavier loads with ease. The tray’s flat front design also makes it easy for users to rake yard debris into and out of the garden cart. For improved stability the new cart is positioned on two 18-inch bicycle-style wheels that are ideal for improved balance when rolling over rough or uneven ground. The tubular steel undercarriage is durable, lightweight and easy to assemble, while the axle is positioned for optimal balance, making the cart easier to push.
The AMES Total Control Garden Cart will be available at The Home Depot starting February 2012, for $80.00 to $90.00. For more information on the Total Control Garden Cart and other Ames tools, please visit http://www.ames.com/
