In the early days of our history, that meant manufacturing highly specialized implements for farmers and “truck gardeners”—tools like the dairy trough scoop, the barley fork and the kalamazoo celery hoe. Over the years, it has also meant building tools for major leaps of faith, from digging for gold and carving a path to the Arctic Circle to cutting cables in space. Getting from there to here took many hands, a lot of work and a lot of vision.
At AMES, we’re proud to manufacture everyday tools that do extraordinary tasks.
HARD WORK. BIG IDEAS. THE AMES HERITAGE.
